AIM — FAA OPERATIONAL GUIDANCE

a. Light. Visibility more than 1/2 statute mile.

b. Moderate. Visibility from more than 1/4 statute mile to 1/2 statute mile.

c. Heavy. Visibility 1/4 statute mile or less.
